Lineage and History
Baklava was first cultivated by Alien Labs in Northern California and was born of Kosher Kush and Gelato 41. An award winning parent, Kosher Kush won the High Times Cannabis cup for best Indica strain in 2010 and 2011, as well as best strain overall in 2010. Its counterpart, Gelato 41, originated in Los Angeles and was nurtured to life by the famous “Cookies Family”. Baklava produces a beautifully balanced bud which are dense but still somewhat fluffy. Most noticeably, however, are its eye-popping colours, which offer an exquisite green and purple hue, sprinkled with bright orange hairs and frosted trichomes. This is a Cannasseurs choice.
Best Use
An Indica leaning Hybrid, Baklava leaves you with a creative high, while leaving you incredibly relaxed. Expect a blast of euphoria that hits like a freight train followed by a creeping body stone. This strain is great for people looking for a cerebral high but without anxiety as with some Sativa strains. Baklava may relieve some of the following ailments, including chronic pain, fatigue, nausea, depression and stress. This strain can be enjoyed at anytime of day but may lean towards the body effects for some users.
Taste
Baklava provides an extremely smooth smoking experience on the pallet. The strain is sweet, with citrus undertones and a creamy back end. It was flushed incredibly well and provides no harshness in the throat and lungs.
Aroma
This strain has a robust nose and delivers an earthy aroma. You will, however, also find hints of diesel and a pungent bag smell which delights the nose. Baklava is one of those rare strains that translates between its smell and taste.
Potency
THC level that ranges from 23-25% on average. Not for amateur users.
